The bizhub Highveld Lions will look to take the bite out of Buildnat Cape Cobras at Senwes Park this Friday, 10 March when these two sides collide for the second time this season.

The Lions were the victors in round one with a three-wicket win against the Cape Cobras at Boland Park on Friday, 3 March. The Lions are also on a high after coming off a 59 run (D/L) win against the VKB Knights. Reeza Hendricks was the star of the show with a brilliant 142* in that match.

Another Lions player that will be looking to make a mark is Dwaine Pretorius, who is expected to return to the Lions setup after a successful time for the Proteas in New Zealand. Also be on the lookout for Beuran Hendricks who will look to continue his good form with the ball against his previous employers.

The Cape Cobras should also not be underestimated as they will feature the dangerous Lizaad Williams, Stiaan van Zyl and Richard Levi in their ranks.
Lions batsman and hometown hero, Nicky van den Bergh, believes the men in red have enough momentum to topple the Cape side once again.

‘We are really looking forward to the match after our two victories this past weekend. The confidence is high. The Cobras will also be looking to bounce back after we beat them on their home ground last week. The Cobras have a very strong team and it will be a good clash.’
Van den Bergh also emphasised the importance of home support in swinging matches in his team’s favour.

‘The Cape Cobras had a lot of support at Boland Park and our supporters need to show that in Potch this Friday as well. We hope to see a lot of Lions supporters at the match,’ he added.
The match between the bizhub Highveld Lions and Buildnat Cape Cobras will start at 14:00.
Tickets are R50 for adults and R30 for scholars. Tickets can be bought at Ticketpro.co.za.
*The Lions will also face the Hollywoodbets Dolphins at Senwes Park on Wednesday 15 March.
