Cricket fever was in the air at Potch Primary  on Monday morning as some of the talented grade 2 and 3 learners were rewarded for their achievements in the second Mini Cricket Tournament. Eight teams contested the tournament, with the Cobras, a grade 2 team, eventually winning it. The other teams included the Cheetahs, Dragons, Eagles, Springboks, Tigers, Dolphins and Lions. ‘I want to give a big thank you to Ms Marie Barnard who sponsored the certificates, which     were given to all the participants,’ said the organiser and coach of the tournament, Zaid Mahomed.

Mahomed also thanked the principal of Potch Primary, Mr Willie de Villiers and his staff who made the competition such a success.
