Relegation-threatened Jomo Cosmos will face an in-form Bidvest Wits side at Olën Park at 19:30 on Wednesday, 13 April.
The students are on a high after dismantling third-tier side, Magesi FC in a Nedbank cup round-of-16 match.
The Braamfontein based outfit is still confident of throwing a spanner in the works in the race for PSL honours. The students are placed second in the PSL standings, four points behind table-topping Mamelodi Sundowns. Wits mentor, Gavin Hunt, is desperate to cap off an impressive campaign with silverware.
Conversely, it’s win or bust for Cosmos, which heads to Wednesday’s clash on the back of a cup exit that would have been gladly welcomed by Jomo Sono. His main focus is now on guiding his team to safety.

Bidvest Wits will be aiming for a league double over the team. For Cosmos, the good news is that the uncapped SA fullback, Cheslyn Jampies is available for selection after suspension. That, in itself, will present a headache for Jomo Sono after Pentjie Zulu put in a good performance against Pirates.

Cosmos is currently in 15th place with 20 points after 23 matches and desperately needs to get out of the relegation zone.

Players to look out for:
Jomo Cosmos:
•Charlton Mashumba
•Cheslyn Jampies
•Frederick Nsabiyumva
Bidvest Wits:
•Sibusiso Vilakazi
•Moeneeb Josephs
• James Keene
