The North West Flames are ready and raring to go in this year’s Brutal Fruit Netball Premier League (NPL). The team recently received their North West Flames colours from the MEC for Education and Sports Development, Maphefo Wendy Matsemela in the official team unveiling which was held at the Dutch Reformed Church in Walter Sisulu Street on 9 March.

This year’s tournament will start on 8 April with the Flames taking on the Eastern Cape Aloes in their first match on 10 April. The Free State Crinums are the reigning champions, but the North West Flames will surely look to end their reign at the top, with players such as Nadia Uys, Renske Stoltz and Sigi Burger in their ranks.

Johannesburg, Pretoria and Durban will host the 8-week tournament that features ten teams from across the country.
