The grudge match between JP Buys and Potch favourite, Roevan de Beer received some extra attention today at the official weigh-ins when things between these two warriors became a little heated.

The grudge match between JP Buys and Potch favourite, Roevan de Beer received some extra attention today at the official weigh-ins when things between these two warriors became a little heated.

Buys defeated de Beer in his last amateur fight, a defeat that de Beer feels he can overturn tomorrow night at EFC 47. After the weigh in de Beer’s coach Kobus posted a picture of de Beer titled, “Titled lean and hungry”

De Beer who usually fights at Bantamweight had to make the cut to flyweight, de Beer is confident that he is going to walk out if the Hexagon victorious. Although de Beer is more comfortable fighting on the ground, he predicted a KO victory over Buys in their under-card fight happening at Carnival City on 5 March.

“It’s a great opportunity  for me. I really want to thank the guys at EFC for this chance,” de Beer said in a recent interview with the Herald.
