URGENT: Potch hospital looking for patient’s family

The Social Work Department requests the help of the public in identifying an unknown patient in Potchefstroom Hospital.

On 14 January a male estimated to be in his late twenties to early thirties was admitted into ward 6 of Potchefstroom Hospital as an unknown patient.

The patient’s records state that he was brought to the hospital by ER24 following an alleged assault. The patient was assessed on 19 January and it was determined that the patient is confused and disorientated. The patient is unable to make conversation and could not provide the hospital with information about where he lives.

The patient claims that he is ‘Neyo Neo Vilakazi’ and communicates mostly in Zulu.

His mental state remains unchanged and he is unable to provide the hospital with biographic information.

The patient has a tattoo on his neck and fore arm that can be seen in the pictures attached.

The patient remains in ward 6 at the hospital.

The public are asked to come forward with any information regarding the patient. If you recognize the man or know what happened to him, please surrender the information to the Social Work Department at 018 293 4585.
