A woman in Dassierand was arrested this past week for possession of cocaine to the value of R17 752.
Adelaide Nkarabelang Madibo (30) appeared before the Potchefstroom Magistrates’ Court on 20 December 2023 following her arrest by the Klerksdorp based Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation Unit in collaboration with the Provincial Drugs Task Team after she was found to be in possession of drugs at her residence the previous day (19 December)
The unit executed a search warrant and found rocks of cocaine estimated to the street value of R17 752 hidden inside a tupperware container.
The suspect was arrested and appeared before court on a charge of possession of drugs. She has been remanded in custody and will reappear before the same court on 27 December 2023 for formal bail application.
