There was great excitement on Friday, 5 May, when Lekwena Wildlife Estate hosted its annual Full Moon charity walk event. A total of 409 people came out in support and participated in a family-friendly evening walk.
The walk was a seven-km round trip, and all proceeds were for the benefit of the Potchefstroom Dienssentrum vir Bejaardes. Community members enjoyed a night market from 17:00 to 21:00, where they got to experience live music and the children were entertained with a jumping castle.
For every ticket purchased, participants received a Lekwena enamel mug to use at water and coffee points and delicious hot coffee and a pancake en route.
