Woman admits she accidentally fed her grandma dog food

The woman had sealed up a bag of raw dog food to leave in her auntie's fridge not knowing their grandma would ever think to use it.

A woman admitted to accidentally feeding her grandma dog food after she mistook it for minced meat.

She came out with the truth on Reddit, where she explained how her sister had been storing raw dog food in their auntie’s freezer after spending the day at their house.

She told her auntie to use it up on her own dog but, months later, the raw dog food was still in the deep freeze.

That was until her 88-year-old grandma decided to cook a meal using what she thought was frozen minced meat. “My granny decided to cook and thought my auntie put that food there – and she used it up since it had been in there for some time,” the woman explained.

“She sliced up some ginger, garlic and all the usual Chinese sauces, served it with rice and some bok choy.”

It wasn’t until the sisters paid their next visit that they realised what had happened.

“When we went to visit, my auntie told my sister they ate the meat she left there because they thought it would go bad – and that it tasted kind of bland,” she added.

“After some confusion, my sister remembered and that was the day my granny and auntie ate dog food.”

What happened next remains a mystery. Fingers crossed nothing seriously dangerous happened.
