Department of Health brings mobile clinic to Azaniaville

The residents of Azaniaville in Mooibank were delighted when the Department of Health assisted them with a mobile clinic on Friday, 4 June.

The residents of Azaniaville in Mooibank were delighted when the Department of Health assisted them with a mobile clinic on Friday, 4 June.

According to residents Charles Lekgetho and Andrew Pelele, the community has been in desperate need of the services they received on Friday. “Our people were finally given the services they need. We were screened for Covid-19 and given sanitisers. Approximately 90 people lined up to receive assistance,” Charles explained.

Residents had the opportunity to know their HIV status and received ARVS. The women were also given sanitary pads.

“We are extremely grateful to Mr Matlawe from the Dept of Health, sister Moyo, who was one of the nurses and Mr Khunou, one of the residents who pushed to make this day possible,” said Charles.
The Department of Health aims to make this a regular event to ensure that the residents get the necessary treatments.
The next visit is scheduled for 14 July.
