It is that time of the year again when you can see your boss sitting in a cage for a day. Potchefstroom Animal Welfare Society (Paws) will be hosting their famous fundraising initiative, Adopt Your Boss on Thursday, 25 October.
Businesses can put their bosses in cages and can adopt them (if they want them back) at a fee. All ‘adoption fees’ will be used to help the countless animals in the Paws cages with food, sterilisation and other necessary costs.
This year, Paws will also be putting their own boss, Darren Kruger, in a cage and people or businesses can make donations of R500 for him.
These funds will be used specifically to sterilise animals in Promosa, Ikageng and Mohadin. These areas have high rates of unwanted puppies because the people do not have the money to sterilise their pets.
Each R500 will pay for one animal to be sterilised. In this way, Potchefstroomers can help to reduce the number of unwanted puppies that will end up without homes.
