A teenage girl was allegedly raped by her 24-year-old ex-boyfriend in Baipei Sonderwater on Friday morning.
According to the teen, he hit her with a knobkerrie and raped her while she was unconscious.
The Ikageng SAPS spokesperson, Const Kelebogile Trom says the suspect was arrested at about 09:00 on Tuesday.
At about 19:30 on 1 December, the victim visited her friend in Sonderwater and later ran into her ex-boyfriend.
‘He demanded money from her, searched her and took R40 from her pocket. She tauntingly told him there was more where it came from and he became aggressive. He instructed her to take him there to go and collect the money. When he noticed that there was no money as she had claimed, he forcefully took her back to his place in Sonderwater,’ Trom said.
On her arrival at his place on Friday morning, the teen was crying. The suspect then poured cold water over her and hit her all over her body with a knobkerrie until she fainted. When she later came around, the suspect was on top of her and in the process of raping her.
