Religious leaders in Potchefstroom have resolved to pray for the well-being of South Africa.
At 18:00 on 17 November 2016 all religious leaders are called to attend a prayer meeting in the old Potchefstroom town hall. ‘At a time like this, we have to seek God’s face and ask for Him to heal our land. With all that has been going on in our country, prayers are really needed. We need to pray together for the universities, the economy and for the leaders of our country,’ said Johan Zerwick, councillor for ward 4.
According to him, there will be no long speeches, only prayer. ‘And, while we are at it, we can also thank God for the rain and for the rain to come,’ he said.
