On Monday, the DA announced that their North West provincial leader, Joe McGluwa will experience the real plight of residents in Ikageng.
According to the provincial communications manager Nicolize van der Walt, McGluwa will live in the house of Botsang Moketsane and Ntsuba Mokwena in Sonderwater for three days.
“Botsang and Ntsuba are currently unemployed and have to care for their two children, with very limited support and access to basic services,” she said.
Van der Walt says over the course of the three days, the leader will also visit surrounding informal settlements like Marikana and Promosa where people experience a lack of housing, water and sanitation.
“His visit is aimed at highlighting the terrible conditions people are forced to live in and to share the DA’s plans to bring change to Ikageng,” she emphasised.
