A 16-year-old Promosa Secondary learner was referred to hospital after two bullies squeezed and forcibly pulled his private parts last Thursday.
According to Const. Kelebogile Trom, SAPS spokesperson, the teenager says he and a female friend were busy doing mathematics in class at about 11:20.
The two boys of the same age claimed that one of the teachers was calling him.
Trom says, while the boy was walking in the corridor, the two immediately pushed him against the dustbin. They grabbed his arms and feet and lifted him up and put him inside the dustbin upside down. While he was in a dustbin, the two bullies sexually assaulted him.
“The learner’s genitals were painful and he could not walk properly. He was taken to the Promosa clinic, after which he was transferred to Potchefstroom hospital,” she said.
Trom advises learners to report bullying to their educators and parents.
“Parents should try and observe any behavioural changes of their children,” she said.
