Nominated twice in the category of Best TV Presenter for his work on the Expresso Show as well as Strictly Come Dancing Season 8, Katlego Maboe has won his second consecutive Golden Horn – for his work on the Expresso Show – at the star-studded South African Television and Film Awards (SAFTAs) ceremony, which took place at Gallagher Estate on Sunday, 20 March.

“This incredibly humbling achievement is dedicated to my late grandmother who taught me: Bana ba Kgosi, ithuteng molao le molodi, malata a sale teng, says Maboe.
“In essence; take the time to learn while there is time to do so because once the time has passed, one cannot regain it. These are the words I live by, and to have won my second consecutive SAFTA for Best TV Presenter in a category purely based on public votes, to me, means that I’m taking every opportunity offered to me by the horns and making the best of it.”
Maboe thanks all his fans for their support and wants to let them know that they are appreciated.
Maboe, who is an old Potchefstroom Boys High student was not only nominated but was also the host of the 2016 SAFTAs alongside the glamorous Minnie Dlamini, and performed the opening act together with MiCasa’s J-Something and rapper, Fifi Copper.
He is currently busy with his music and his latest single Race (Against Time) live performance can be viewed on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBu2h2r1AVc&feature=youtu.be.
