The Potchefstroom SAPS arrested a 28-year-old parolee on Wednesday morning.

The Potchefstroom SAPS arrested a 28-year-old parolee on Wednesday morning.
According to WO Mpho Manyoba, the police spokesperson, the man was arrested after police received a call from Mooirivier Beskerming about a man hiding in a garden in Hoffman Street. Police officers from the community service centre responded to the call.
“When police arrived on the scene, they caught the man with various car-breaking tools in his possession. Drugs and property that is suspected to have been stolen were also found in his possession,” she said.
After questioning, the man admitted that he had broken into a car in the street. Constables Phetetso Lenyatsa and Mogapi Mosetlhi arrested the suspect on various charges.
When he was taken to the police station, it was found that the suspect was out on parole which only expires in 2018.
“In all probability, this man will go straight back to prison,” said Manyoba.
The suspect will appear in court on Thursday.
