Witrand Psychiatric Hospital’s CEO, Mrs Naledi Mocwaledi-Senyane, bestowed awards of excellence upon her staff at a glittering function at Witrand last month.
The hospital has recently scooped a number of awards and is regarded as the best public hospital in the country. It has also scooped first prize for hospital excellence in the public sector during the Board of Healthcare Funders of Southern Africa Titanium Awards held last year.
In her speech, Mocwaledi-Senyane who has been in the health services for thirty-three years said, “hosting awards of this magnitude is solely dependent on those who support our dream of acknowledging staff members in different disciplines [and encouraging themï to work even harder. With a staff compliment of more than one thousand employees, there are those that go the extra mile, those who continuously shine, irrespective of the challenges.
She told her staff that their endless sacrifices, commitment, passion shown in different departments and hard work are things that cannot be ignored.
The NW health MEC, Dr Magome Masike says every employee in Witrand can make a contribution and a difference in the health sector.
“We believe in teamwork. You can all make a difference in the health sector. Regardless of the challenges, we must strive for excellence,” he motivated the staff.
