Horse therapy for the broken, lost and less fortunate

They plan to provide fresh produce to a daycare and old age home.

Shahl-VAH Restoration & Upliftment is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a safe haven for the broken, lost, and less fortunate in the community.

Situated in Potchefstroom, their mission is to provide a space where individuals—both children and adults—can heal, discover their talents, and develop essential life skills in an environment of care and love.

Adèle Löhmann, founder of Shahl-VAH Restoration & Upliftment, says their vision encompasses a long-term development plan, divided into 10 key divisions.

“Our first phase will focus on launching the SATRA-accredited horse therapy centre alongside our horse-riding school. Our therapy and sports initiatives aim to unlock potential, nurture talent, and provide hope to those in need. With support from our local community, we believe we can create an environment where individuals can thrive physically, emotionally, and spiritually.”

Hannah Löhmann and Ruan van den Berg, two students of Shahl-VAH Restoration & Upliftment, will compete at the Western Mounted Games Nationals in Parys from 23 – 27 September 2024.

“This is made possible by EBS Hardware, Dolfie Swim Joy, Jesus loves you Church Promosa, Homegrown Power Products, Titan Trailers Parys, Steven and Rista Bampa who blessed us with their house in Parys for the week.  Hannah and Ruan are excited and feel honoured to compete and represent the province.  They wouldn’t have come this far in the sport if it weren’t for our sponsors. We are thankful,” Adèle said.

While they are still awaiting their Section 18A certificate, they have decided not to waste any more precious time.

“We are starting a vegetable garden on a small scale, with plans to provide fresh produce to a daycare and old age home in Ikageng, El Shaddai Restoration Ministries in Promosa, and Ons Hulde old age home in town.”

Ruan van den Berg is running this amazing initiative. You can contact him on 063 046 6756 to get involved.

“Let’s Make a Difference Together! We’re thrilled to share that we’re working on some exciting new ventures that have the potential to create real change in our community!”
