The Dietetics and Nutrition Board Roadshow heads to the North-West

The HPCSA is mandated to regulate the health professions in the country.

The Professional Board for Dietetics and Nutrition (DNB), under the ambit of the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), is pleased to announce a stakeholder engagement roadshow for dietitians and nutritionists in the North-West Province. The event will take place at the North-West University in Potchefstroom on Friday, 13 September 2024.

This roadshow aims to address key issues within the sector and offer strategic guidance on various topics, including the Board’s role and strategic direction, registration, education and training, professional practice, and Continuing Professional Development (CPD). The roadshow will also cover important matters such as professional conduct preliminary inquiries, conflicts of interest, and ethical practices within the dietetics and nutrition profession.

In addition to these discussions, the roadshow reflects the Board’s ongoing commitment to safeguarding public health by overseeing the professional development of healthcare professionals. It also provides practitioners with an excellent opportunity to engage directly with the Board, understand Board activities, build relationships, stay informed about the latest developments in their field, and address any queries or concerns.

Ms Lenore Spies, Chairperson of the Board, urges all registered practitioners in the North-West Province to attend this essential session. Attendance is free, walk-in registrations are available. Five (5) ethical CEU’s will be awarded for full attendance at the roadshow.

For more information on the upcoming roadshow, practitioners can direct their enquiries via email to DNBBoard@hpcsa.co.za.
