Ikageng author aims to inspire

Honest Madibo hopes to finish her second book by the end of this year.

Honest Madibo, a retired teacher and writer from Ikageng, published her first book in 2020 and is working on her second.
Honest, who used to be a teacher at Madibeng Primary, published her book, “Who Am I?” through Zion Publications and launched it at the Potchefstroom Museum on 27 February 2020.
The Holy Spirit inspired Honest’s first book.
“Ever since I received the Lord into my heart, I’ve been on fire for Him and thirsted to know more. Whenever I sat down with my Bible, the Holy Spirit would tell me things, and I would write them down. One day, the Holy Spirit told me I was busy writing a book. I said, ‘What? Is it a book? I thought I was only writing things down.’ I then told the Holy Spirit that if it were to be a book, He would give me a title. He gave me ‘Who Am I?’ so I started putting everything together and wrote a book.”
“Before knowing who you are, you must know who your source of life is,” Honest says about her first book.
“It’s about who you are in God. The book is relevant if you want to know who you are.”
The book discusses the following topics with the reader:
– Everything about your identity and where you came from before you existed
– Who Jesus is and how excellent His name is
– How and when to use His name
– Introducing the Holy Spirit
– Realising and understanding how special
you are and that God designed you to have a personal relationship with Jesus.
Honest adds that some people think she is strange when she speaks about the Holy Spirit, but she knows He is working through her. Her faith moves her to write.
“It’s all about knowing who you are in Christ and finding your identity in Him.”
Honest does not want to say much about her second book but reveals the title, “Dine with the King”.
She says she planned to finish it at the end of last year as many people asked her when she would publish it. But she hopes to finish it by the end of this year.
