Resident shows her giving heart to patients of Witrand Hospital

Mrs Erika Burger, mother of one of the patients admitted to Witrand Hospital, recently donated bed sheets for Ward 8 patients as part of the reaching out to patients’ initiative.

This was not the first time Burger had showcased her philanthropy.

For Mandela Day, she brought T-Shirts, a big cake, and underwear for all Ward 8 patients.

“Everyone deserves some love. In an ideal world, we would be with our loved ones in familiar surroundings. Yet, these admitted patients are not always spoiled. Hopefully, this provided some joy to the patients,” says Burger. “Reaching out to the needy is one of the most important gifts ever. More especially, our admitted patients who forever cherish the gift they receive,” adds Mrs Elizabeth Mpolokeng; CEO of Witrand Hospital.
