Ikageng family still searching for their missing son

Tshepo Sois (28) has been missing since 10 January 2024.

The parents of Tshepo Sois (28) are still awaiting answers on the disappearance of their son, who has been missing for over a month.

His mother, Thandiwe Sois and father, Oupa Mogane, say they last saw Tshepo at their home in Ikageng Extension 7 at around 20:00 on Wednesday, 10 January, before he allegedly headed off to visit his girlfriend.

He did not return their calls, and after a week of searching, his parents opened a missing persons case at the Ikageng police station. According to Thandiwe, his girlfriend did not see him that night.

“We have searched everywhere for answers. We even go to the mortuary weekly in the hope of finding him there. We are distressed and want closure,” she states.

“We are restless and struggle to sleep, knowing he is missing,” states Oupa.

“Tshepo and I share the same birthday on 25 April. I hope we find him before then,” adds Thandiwe.

NW police spokesperson Col. Adele Myburgh confirmed that the family had opened a missing persons case. “He was last seen with a black leather jacket and white Reebok shoes,” added Myburgh. An investigation is currently ongoing.
