New acting directors appointed at J.B. Marks Municipality
The J.B. Marks Municipality has appointed familiar faces as Acting Directors during the recent council sitting on Wednesday, 31 January.
The J.B. Marks Municipality has appointed familiar faces as Acting Directors during the recent council sitting on Wednesday, 31 January.
Mr. Errol Temanie is the new acting director for the Directorate Corporate Services, whilst mr. Thomas Muswede will serve as the acting director for the Directorate Municipal Services and Local Economic Development (LED). Mr Kgomotso Kumbe, the current municipal manager, will lead the Directorate Community Safety.
These new appointments come as a result of the expiration of contracts held by previous directors. They are Bojelo Mosepele for Corporate Services, Mr Ofentse Masibi for Community Safety, and Ms Zippora Vavane, who served as an Acting Director for Municipal Services and LED.

According to Jeanette Tshite, spokesperson for the J.B. Marks Municipality, the acting directors will hold their roles, supervising the administration of the directorates and deciding on both operational and strategic matters on behalf of the Municipality, in conjunction with the Municipal Manager.
“In the interim, the Municipality will handle all procedures to appoint qualified people to those open posts. We wish the newly appointed Acting Directors, a successful time leading their respective Directorates,” added Tshite.
