DVD of the week: Triple 9

I rate this movie 8/10, but would like to advise the viewer never to lose focus, because then you might get confused with what’s going on.

This action thriller starts out with a bank robbery followed by an intense car chase and gunfight on the Atlanta freeway in broad daylight.
The group of robbers that consist of not only criminals but also corrupt cops, doing jobs for the wife of a Russian mob boss, Irina Vlaslov (Kate Winslet) in order to ultimately free her husband from a high-security prison.
When the head of the group, a former Navy SEAL, Michael Atwood (Chiwetel Ejiofor) decides to pull out, they are tragically reminded of the power the Russian mob has over them, and so are forced to perform one more job – probably the most difficult job to have been done by only four men: break in and steal from Homeland Security.
With Sergeant Detective Jeffrey Allen (Woody Harrelson) on their heels, they have great difficulty to complete the job.
As family becomes strangers, friends become enemies, all while the evil Russian mob controls them with an iron fist.
The film starts out with thrilling action and builds up tension throughout the story.
At a stage, I was confused as to who is good and who bad, but as soon as I was back on track it all started playing down in my head.
The story line was good, the twist was unexpected and the acting was brilliant.

I rate this movie 8/10, but would like to advise the viewer never to lose focus, because then you might get confused with what’s going on.
