Murder investigation after 9-year-old found dead

The body of 9-year-old Kamogelo Sithole was found at a shack behind Boitshoko school in Sonderwater around 10:00 this morning(8 November). Police are investigating a case of murder. A suspect has subsequently been arrested in connection with the murder. Kamogelo’s  family, the police and the community have been searching for her since last week Thursday. Kamogelo, a grade 4 learner from Madibeng primary school was allegedly taken from her school under false pretense by the suspect who . It is further reported that the suspect. “We can confirm that the suspect took the child during break hours however we cannot confirm the details surrounding the time he took her,” Captain Sam Tselanyane, police spokesperson said. A murder cause has since been filed and the suspect is set to appear in court tomorrow. (9 November).
