It will be a rebuilding phase for Potchefstroom based club, Jomo Cosmos, this coming season in the National First Division. Cosmos has now lost influential players in their solitary stint in the PSL. Bidvest Wits has snapped up the hard-working Pentjies Zulu and South African International Cheslyn Jampies has switched the Ezenkosi for Bloemfontein Celtic. Cosmos will in truth have a new back four come the next season in the National First Division.
The stakes will be high for the Ezenkosi even after the sad conclusion of their stay in the elite league. The priority is obvious: Ezenkosi will want to fight their way into the Premiership. There will be a load of new players and with regards to the U.23 rule they will have a significant bearing on that part. Cosmos are known for unearthing talented players across Africa, and with Jomo Sono at the helm their NFD stint is likely to be an entertaining affair as they surge towards a spot in the PSL.
Departed players include:
1.Pentjies Zulu- Bidvest Wits
2.Cheslyn Jampies-Bloemfontein Celtic.
3.Sibusiso Kumalo-Loan return to Sundowns
4. Charlton Mashumba- Destination unknown
5.Sherwin Naicker – still considering his options
