The bushes that the police have been warning the public to avoid became the scene of another crime when a 34-year-old man was robbed there at gunpoint.

The bushes that the police have been warning the public to avoid became the scene of another crime when a 34-year-old man was robbed there at gunpoint.

According to the Ikageng SAPS spokesperson, Const. Kelebogile Trom, the victim fell prey to robbers in the bush between Greenfield and Ext. 3 last Thursday.
The victim alleges that he was going home to Ext. 7 at 16:30 last Thursday, when two men pounced on him and one pointed a firearm at him.
“The men demanded all the belongings in his possession; they searched him and took his Blackberry Z3 valued at R2 000 and R40,” she says.
Trom adds that an unknown man came to the victim’s house at about 18:00 and informed him of the whereabouts of his assailants.
“He claimed that the two assailants had admitted to taking his cell phone and took the victim to their house but they did not find them,” she said.
