Potchefstroom’s pride ‘Mrs. SA’ in action on Mandela Day

Onalenna Constantin, a Top 14 finalist in the Miss South Africa competition and a proud native of Potchefstroom, showcased her unwavering commitment to community service on Mandela Day. Participating in the globally recognized 67 Minutes initiative, which commemorates Nelson Mandela’s legacy of giving back, Constantin led a significant charitable effort that left a lasting impact on her local community.

At Madibeng Primary School in Ikageng, Constantin’s heartfelt contributions included donating essential toiletries to 80 girls and 70 boys. The items, which included sanitary towels for the girls, aim to support the students’ hygiene needs and promote their overall well-being. This act of generosity underscores Constantin’s dedication to addressing basic needs and improving the lives of young people in her community.

Her outreach did not stop there. Constantin extended her charitable efforts to Ikhaya La Bantwana, an orphanage in Potchefstroom, where she donated blankets. These gifts are intended to provide warmth and comfort to the children, ensuring they have a nurturing environment.
