Successful Mandela day for Round Table

Round Table as well as other parties had a successful Mandela day where a lot of less fortunate people received donations.

Yesterday Round Table kicked off their Mandela day drive at Baillie Park Spar where they collected blankets, food and clothing for the less fortunate. Later in the evening the donations collected were then distributed to those in need.

Michael Menezes, convenor of the project for Round Table, says the event was a huge success.

“Close to R40 000 worth of blankets, food and soup was received and given out yesterday. From myself and Round Table Potchefstroom 47, we would like to give a super thank you to the Pipeliners, NTT Motor Group, SOS Golf league, Spar Baillie Park, ASAMBO and every person who donated something for us to be able to go out there and try to make a change in people’s lives. Winter Knights – Mandela Day was a great success,” Menezes said.

He goes on to explain that their work to help those in need, does not stop on Mandela day.

“If anyone else wants to help the less fortunate but is not sure how, reach out to us at Round Table Potchefstroom 47. We will make sure it goes to the right places.”
