ACNW awarded for hosting best organised athletics championship in South Africa
ACNW were lauded for their organising of the premier athletics event in SA.
Athletics Central North West (ACNW) can add another feather in their cap after Athletics South Africa (ASA) awarded them with the “Best Organised Championship” award at the ASA Award Ceremony on Saturday, 27 January.
ACNW won this award for their pristine hosting of the ASA Senior Track and Field Championships from 30 March – 1 April 2023 at the NWU McArthur Athletics Stadium.
This is no surprise considering that ACNW has hosted countless national athletics events as senior and youth levels in the past 8 years.
According to Neels Roodt, general manager of ACNW, this award illustrates the hard work that is being put in to produce top class events.
“The award was judged via a voting process that officials undertook. We take great pride in receiving this award,” added Roodt.
