Man crashes into pole while on his bike this afternoon.

This afternoon, 13 February, at approximately 13:40, a man that has been identified as Seun Thembu bumped into a pole on the corner of Kock street, opposite Snowflake.

This afternoon, 13 February, at approximately 13:40, a man that has been identified as Seun Thembu bumped into a pole on the corner of Kock street. According to bystanders, while Seun was riding his bicycle down the pedestrian walk way, he lost control of his bike and hit a pole.

Upon the crash, he fell and hit his head and landed on a damaged nerby drain. ER24 arrived on scene at approximately 14:14 and confirmed that although the 38-year-old had a few external wounds and a dislocated chin, he fortunately did not sustain any further serious injuries and will be transported to Potchefstroom hospital for further examination.

At the time that ER24 arrived on the scene, there had not been any ambulances available to transport the patient immediately. The patient was kept conscious and stable until the ambulance arrived at approximately 15:20.
