Chiefs and Celtic level at half time

A fast paced game at the Free State Stadium between Kaizer Chiefs and Bloemfontein Celtic failed to produce goals.

Celtic took the game to Chiefs in the early stages of the game, Gabadinho Mhango has been a thorn to Chiefs forcing Amakhosi midfielders to commit fouls around their penalty box.

A penalty appeal from Celtic was turned down when Mhango was bought down in the box by Erick Mathoho.

Chiefs started pushing forward and putting the Celtic defence under pressure, Chiefs’ best scoring opportunity came in the 35th minute when Siphiwe Tshabalala’s header floated to the right only for the on rushing George Maluleka to hit the side netting.
