Erasmus among Africa’s best

Erasmus among Africa’s best

Kermit Erasmus has been included in the Africa XI team at the 2015 Glo-CAF Awards.

His fine display in the CAF Confederations Cup saw him making the bench in a team that included stars such as Andrew Ayew (Swansea City, England), Yaya Toure (Manchester City, England)), Yacine Brahimi (Porto, Portugal) and the 2015 African footballer of the year Pierre-Emerrick Aubameyang (Borrusia Dortmund, Germany).

Erasmus registered five goals in the tournament to help the Buccaneers reach the competition’s final, where they lost to Tunisian giants Estoile du Sahel.

The Bucs striker will probably take that recognition as a motivation ahead of his team’s Absa premiership clash with Platinum Stars tomorrow at the Orlando Stadium, in a bid to help his team kick-start their first league game of 2016 with some positive results.
