PSL charges players over dual contracts

The PSL has charged Platinum Stars defender, Siyabonga Zulu and Chippa United man Veli Mothwa for signing contracts with two different teams.

The matter concerning the duo will be heard by the league’s disciplinary committee today.

Mothwa  allegedly signed for Polokwane City as well as Chippa United, while Zulu’s move to Dikwena was disputed by Orlando Pirates when they claimed that they exercised an option on the player’s contract.

The PSL has charged the players “with contravening Rule 37 of the NSL after he allegedly signed two contracts with different clubs covering the same period of employment.”
