Eric Tinkler admits his job could be on the line at struggling SuperSport United following a string of poor results.

Matsatsantsa went down 2-0 to Ajax Cape Town at Athlone Stadium on Wednesday night. This was their ninth loss in 23 games this season.

“There is no job security,” Tinkler told reports after the loss to Ajax.

“Ultimately, the players respond off me and I have to be brave and accept the responsibility. We have to find ways to pick up maximum points in our final seven games.

“I still have the hunger to get the team out. I have been in this situation before as both a player and a coach. I believe that we have enough depth and quality to get out, but the players have to pitch up.”

SuperSport will next host Maritzburg United at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday.
