Former Platinum Stars striker Simba Marumo has lauded Dikwena’s current form under the guidance of Cavin Johnson.

Marumo, who played for the club between 2006 and 2010, was the team’s goal poacher during his stint with club and he was the club’s leading goal scorer during the 2006/2007 season.

The Rustenburg based outfit is currently third on the Absa Premiership table with 43 points after 23 games.

“The team is solid. The coach has done a great job. He has made the players to gel. They have great potential. They are up there with the best. Vuyo Mere deserves credit for leading from the front. Ndumiso Mabena has been scoring and I am impressed. Robert Ng’ambi has continued to be an asset to the team. He just needs more game time. Eleazar Rodgers is always on point. He is a good finisher. Masibusane Zongo is great quality. I hope he can continue to impress. Guys like Sibusiso Msomi and others have done well too. The guys have been class. I hope they keep up the spirit,” said Marumo.

“I am very impressed by the team. They are a mature side. They don’t just go where the wind leads them. They have shown great maturity over and over again. What makes me happy the most is that they score goals.”

“The team is not just third on the log. They are sitting comfortably. They are leading by a good margin. Even when they had games in hand they didn’t feel the pressure. They handled them very well. For the team to beat Kaizer Chiefs twice and also a win over Mpumalanga Black Aces was awesome,” said the former Bafana Bafana striker.
