Baroka FC is not run like a spaza shop, and any team that wishes to buy any of their players must follow proper procedures.
This was revealed to Phakaaathi by Baroka CEO, Morgan Mammila who said his star players and National First Division leading goal scorers, Nkosinathi Ndlovu and Thabiso Kutumela are not for sale.
Mammila said he can only consider offers for any of his players at the end of the season.
“I spoke to the players. They know the culture of the team. We are not a Mickey Mouse team, we do not sell players during the season. There is no one leaving the team in January,” said Mammila on Monday.
Baroka are currently top of the NFD and have opened a four point gap after beating second placed Cape Town All Stars 3-2 on Sunday afternoon.
Mammila said they are hopeful of staying top throughout the season and gaining automatic promotion to the Premier Soccer League next season.
