Stars want to keep on loan Chiefs midfielder

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Enocent Mkhabela has joined Platinum Stars.

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Enocent Mkhabela has joined Platinum Stars.

It might be pretty difficult for the midfielder to stay with Stars because he still feels he has a point to prove at Chiefs.

A source at Platinum Stars has revealed to Phakaaathi that the club has started negotiations with Kaizer Chiefs regarding a long-term deal for midfielder Enocent Mkhabela, who is currently on loan from Amakhosi.

“He has been impressive in all the games he has featured for the team, so the club wants to keep him for another season. Look, there are not many good central midfielders who are available because they are still contracted to their respective clubs.

“The thing is, Solomon Mathe will no longer be able to play 90 minutes and they believe Mkhabela would be the perfect replacement for him as he has long proven himself,” said the source.

However, the source added that as much as Mkhabela has been enjoying much game time at Dikwena, it might be pretty difficult for the midfielder to stay with Stars because he still feels he has a point to prove at Chiefs.
