Durban-based publication Isolezwe reported on Monday that Meyiwa said he wishes he could follow his beloved son after he was served with court papers that instruct him to never speak about his late son’s former girlfriend and baby mama, Kelly Khumalo.
Meyiwa senior was served with the papers last week.
“I don’t know what to do any more, I think it would be better if I committed suicide rather than stand for this heartache I have been through since my son died,” Meyiwa senior was quoted as saying.
He also appealed to President Jacob Zuma to intervene in ensuring his son’s murder is solved.
“It is clear to me that she [Khumalo] is connected to top people which is why she is so boastful, and says I must now stop mentioning her name but she can speak about Senzo. As we speak she has a new CD out where there is a song about Senzo; she didn’t get permission from us,” in effect already breaking the court order.
“My child died in someone’s home, and I cannot not mention that person [Khumalo] when I am talking about his death,” added Meyiwa.
