Word from the Free State Stars camp is that Captain Paulus Masehe is set to join his former coach Ernst Middendorp at Maritzburg United.

According to a source close to Free State Stars, Ea Lla Koto have agreed to the sale of Masehe to the Team of Choice.

“Masehe has been sold to Maritzburg. Ernst Middendorp is a fan of Masehe, having worked with him here at Stars. He recommended him to the Maritzburg management, and the two clubs have now agreed on his sale. He’ll be a Maritzburg United player next season.”

Masehe became the third Stars player to join Maritzburg in the current transfer period after striker Andrea Fileccia and defender Themba Shabalala.

Stars are in the process of selling some of their players after selling their Absa Premiership status to a consortium that bought majority shares at Moroka Swallows.
