Hospital visiting hours suspended: Please take note of the following

As a result of an increase in the number of positive Covid-19 cases in the Free State province visiting hours at the Parys District Hospital has been suspended with effect from Saturday 11 December until further notice.

For critical ill patients in the intensive care unit and general wards only one visitor will be allowed per day by exception and with consent of the Operational Manager.

Visitors will be subjected to strict screening criteria prior entry and expected to wear a mask for the duration of the visit.

For the Neonatal intensive care unit and nursery only one parent at a time will be permitted to visit new-borns. Parents will be subjected to strict screening criteria prior entry and expected to wear a mask for the duration of the visit.
