Help your child make a DIY glass terrarium

A terrarium is a lovely option to give to your child's teacher as an end-of-year gift - made all the more meaningful when it's handmade.

If you’re looking for a meaningful gift that your child can give their teacher as an end-of-year present, why not make a glass terrarium? In the following video, Kelsey and Becky, of The Sorry Girls, show us how to make stylish geometric glass terrariums.

While some parts of the video may be a little tricky for younger children to do on their own (mostly the hot glue part), your child can help by choosing the decor and stones.

What you need

  • Glass
  • Brown paper
  • Pencil and ruler
  • A glass cutter (it’s not as scary looking as it sounds)
  • A cutting board
  • Cut running pliers
  • Gloves
  • Masking tape
  • Glass bonding glue
  • Black craft glue
