Parys Crater Street Mile promises to be a spectacular event

This street mile will be a race for one and all from elite athletes, rising young athletes, families and corporates invited to join the first ever race of its kind in Parys.

The Parys Crater Street Mile will see this popular tourist town turn into a road running spectacle on Wednesday, 15 February as runners take on the challenge in Bree Street.
This street mile will be a race for one and all from elite athletes, rising young athletes, families and corporates invited to join the first ever race of its kind in Parys.
The former 800m Olympic silver medalist, Hezekiel Sepeng, is also one of the ambassadors for this race and will be bringing some of SA’s top elite and rising star athletes to take part in this street mile.

“The street mile has become really popular and this race in Parys will also attract runners due to the amount of prize money which is quite substantial. It promises to be a fantastic event with a good course for runners,” stated Sepeng.

There will be more than R 50 000 in cash to be won, which makes this one of the more attractive road races in terms of prize purse. The elite race winners will each receive R 10 000 each.
Medals will also be awarded to all finishers.

Parys Info and Tourism as well as Parys Rotary Club are the organisers of the race.
Races start from 15:00 with the elite races kicking off at 17:30.
