Not an electricity bill but a “ransom”

Not an electricity bill but a “ransom”

This is for all of you who pay your electricity bill every month without fail. I have visited the municipality 11 times in the last 2 months to try and sort out my electricity bill.
I saw 11 different people working there. They kept sending me to someone else. Needless to say nobody could solve my problem.
I even spoke to the Municipal Manager, Mr Bruce Kannemeyer, who brushed me off, and was sworn at with the F-word by one European lady.
I then met our Mayor in the passage there. She asked me why I was there so many times. She looked at my bill and said that I was paying a “ransom” not an electricity bill.
I just want to point out that I am a widow and live alone. My bills were from R6000 to R3 359 per month with units going up from 245 units to 600 units per month, but nobody knew how to solve the problem.
Then I came across a lady by the name of Nompeti and within 15 minutes she solved everything. I now have nothing to pay for 2 months. I think she should be at the head of the municipality as she seems to know what is going on there.
A very sincere thank you to Nompeti – you are my hero!
No one there except Nompeti seems to know their work. Give her a chance to teach all the others working there.
I also no longer pay interim accounts as it is unlawful to pay any amount without a printout.
