Katlego's mission is to give young players exposure to showcase their skills and talents. "We want to help them achieve their dreams of becoming soccer players, coaches and administrators in future."

The Katlego Mthembu  U13 Games will kick off on 21 and 22 September next to the Fezile Dabi Stadium in Tumahole. This year sixteen teams from Parys, Vredefort, Viljoenskroon, Heilbron, Kroonstad, Sasolburg, Sebokeng, Potchefstroom, Sharpeville and Pretoria will participate, with a trophy, gold medals, soccer kits and balls up for grabs for the champions.

Katlego Mthembu U13 Games was started in 2022 with only eight teams from Parys, Vredefort and Potchefstroom participating..

Katlego’s mission is to give young players exposure to showcase their skills and talents. “We want to help them achieve their dreams of becoming soccer players, coaches and administrators in future.”

At the same time this initiative promotes kids to be active, fit and healthy, to stay off the streets, and remove economic barriers to participation in youth games. “Bringing our youth  together through common interests in sportsmanship and competition, teaching them sportsmanship, teamwork and accountability, and to build character, discipline and a love for the sport,” is our vision, says Katlego.

Their motto – Re Bapala Mmoho (We play together)
