Picketing at municipal offices over water and electricity problems

Residents of Parys should take note of this action happening today

Picketers will gather at the Ngwathe Local Municipality’s offices in Parys today between 12:00 and 14:00 to show their dissatisfaction with the ongoing electricity outages, water shedding and unclean water.

They are also concerned about unregistered foreign businesses and the growing problem with drugs in the community.

The picketing is organised by the African Congress for Transformation (ACT). The party said all NGOs, CBOs, NPOs, faith based organisations, taxi organisations, business owners and the public in general are welcome to join to fight for their consitutional rights and against social ills.
