R59 million for road resealing

During a community meeting convened for the handover, it was announced that 100 individuals had been employed for the project.

A road resealing and maintenance project, spearheaded by MaQueen Letsoha-Mathae, and valued at R59 million, was officially
handed over on 19 March. An additional R10 million will go towards subcontracting across various Community Integrated
Development (CIBD) levels.

During a community meeting convened for the handover, it was announced that 100 individuals had been employed for the
project.

Furthermore, a one per cent social contribution of R556,643 has been earmarked for community projects. The residents themselves will determine the specific initiatives.

Emphasising the importance of community involvement, Ngwathe executive mayor, Cllr Victoria De Beer-Mthombeni,
reiterated the need for collective action in safeguarding and supporting projects that directly benefit the areas
