FinScope Consumer Survey

What consumers should know

The public is informed that Citizen Surveys, an independent research organisation, is conducting the 2023 FinScope Consumer Survey on behalf of FinMark Trust (FMT), an independant trust established in 2002 with the objective of making markets work for the poor and to better understand money matters in South Africa.

The survey will include questions about households and will cover topics such as money management, financial products and services, savings and investments, credit and loans, as well as information regarding demographics and lifestyle.

The 2023 FinScope Consumer Survey will be collecting opinions from 5 600 adult citizens aged 16 years and older across South Africa.

The survey will take about 60 minutes to complete. All information will be treated with utmost confidentiality. Participation is voluntary. You may refuse to take part in the research or exit the survey at any time. You are free to decline to answer any particular question you do not wish to answer for any reason. Interviews are recorded for quality control purposes only.

At the end of the survey the names of all people who participated in the survey, will be entered into a draw of R25 000 where 10 people stand a chance of winning R2 500 each. They may choose to take the money or donate it to a charity of their choice.

If you have questions on the research survey phone Mr Ebrahim January from Citizen Survey on 073 258 0098 or send email to ebrahim@citizensurveys.info
