Criminals use technology to block the signals of your remote control to your vehicle. Therefor make absolutely sure your vehicle is locked before walking away, and never leave  valuables in your car. Keep your vehicle registration number  at hand in case of theft, as well as copies of your vehicle registration documents and policy documents should you need it in a case of emergency or theft.

Although several emergency and security WhatsApp groups does an amazing job in circulating information immediately should there be vehicle theft, it is advisable to also notify the police and register the case asap at the nearest police station.
